New CASA Volunteer Advocate Applications Due

Friday, July 17, 2026

When a family is in crisis and enters into the child welfare system, a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer may be appointed by a judge to advocate for the child. This highly-trained Volunteer Advocate is someone from the child’s community whose responsibility is to get to know the child and their family and advocate for their safety, permanency and well-being while in foster care.
At CASA for Douglas County, our mission is to train, empower, and inspire Volunteer Advocates to make a lasting impact in the lives of children who have experienced trauma due to child abuse and/or neglect. Our success is built on the compassion and dedication of people like you... community members willing to step up and amplify the voice of a child when it matters most. Volunteer today!
